The old "Garden of the Gods" sign on the Iverson Movie Ranch in Chatsworth, Calif.

Visitors tend to miss this when they make their first trek to the Garden of the Gods, but the rocky filming location on the old Iverson Movie Ranch has a sign identifying it, carved into a rock. The sign has only the word "Garden" on it, and it is unknown whether it ever included the words "of the Gods."

The sign can be found at the base of Tower Rock, along the northern edge of the main Garden of the Gods rock formations. Until 2015 it was hidden under a tree, as seen above, but the tree has since been cut down, exposing the sign.
